Have you thought about establishing a meditation practice, but haven’t because you feel you don’t have enough time? Meditation is an inexpensive, efficient, effective way to manage stress, especially if you are short on time and resources. Through meditation you learn coping skills that help you manage stress better. You’ll learn how to control your physical reactions such that you will be able to breathe through a stressful encounter during a work meeting or a highly emotional time with your family. If you practice regularly enough, paying attention to your body’s sensations and feelings, you will learn how to resist the fight or flight adrenaline rush that comes with stressful situations. Meditation allows you time to process your daily stress in a healthy way. This daily purging of stress will help you face stressful issues head on, accepting what you cannot change and making wise decisions regarding the things you have the ability to change. You’ll learn how to maintain perspective and find solutions. You’ll come to work more peaceful, having processed and let go of the stress from the day prior. Meditation prepares you to sleep better. If you get good sleep, you’ll be better prepared to deal with whatever happens. Meditation enhances your quality of life. Because you’ll be calm and positive, you’ll handle anxiety from your friends, family, and coworkers with more grace and finesse. When people are stressed, they don’t handle additional stress well, meaning the situation can easily compound. You, on the other hand, will be relaxed and able to handle difficult things as they come your way, especially if your meditation practice includes a moral or principle such as acceptance or loving kindness. If you are living in a high stress situation, consider taking up meditation. If you devote yourself to your practice, you will learn things about yourself you didn’t expect to learn. @@AMAZONWIDGET;meditation;130@@. @@AMAZONWIDGET;stress;3760931@@.3 Jun
